Osasuna Promesas Names Miguel Ángel Sierra Head Coach 

Sierra will join Osasuna Promesas on a three-year contract from C.D. Pamplona after the club completes the Segunda Federación promotion playoff.

Club Atlético Osasuna has named Miguel Ángel Sierra head coach of Osasuna Promesas on a three-year contract. Sierra, currently coaching Club Deportivo Pamplona, will join Osasuna after his team completes the Segunda Federación promotion playoff. He is set to lead the affiliate through June 30, 2029.

Miguel Ángel Sierra Parades, born Dec. 4, 1974, in Barcelona, will take charge of the affiliate after finishing the season with Club Deportivo Pamplona, which is currently competing in the Segunda Federación playoff and will face Real Murcia Imperial. Sierra also leads the big data department at Ecuadorian club Liga Deportiva Universitaria de Quito.

Sierra moved to Navarre in 2015 after earning his coaching credentials. In the 2017-18 season, he joined the Osasuna Academy. After his stint with the Rojillos, he transitioned to professional football, joining Club Deportivo Leganés in the Primera División, where he spent two seasons under Mauricio Pellegrino and Javier Aguirre. He later joined Club de Fútbol Fuenlabrada as first-team analyst and big data director. During his time at Fuenlabrada, he worked under José Luis Oltra, José Ramón Sandoval and Sergio Pellicer.

In the 2023-24 season, Sierra joined the coaching staff for the Mexican women’s national team as analyst director during international breaks. That same year, he joined Liga Deportiva Universitaria de Quito as assistant coach for the first team, leading analysis and player optimization. In the 2024-25 season, Sierra joined the Mexican national team as big data director and lead analyst.
